Precise drawn steel welded tubes of increased precision - description
The longitudinally welded drawn tubes are designed to have higher accuracies in dimensions and surface quality. The used production technique enables to reach the quality parameters comparable to drawn steel seamless tubes. HF current longitudinally welded tubes are the base material for precise tubes. In order to obtain high quality the tubes may be subjected to multiple passes. In order to obtain high quality the tubes may be subjected to multiple passes. The tubes are then subjected to a chemical treatment, cutting, straightening, annealing and non-destructive testing.

Surface finish:
Welded drawn tubes are supplied in bright and smooth inner and outer surface finish. Precision tubes: surface scores and hollows, which do not exceed the tolerance limits of the wall thickness are allowed. Tubes of increase precision: surface scores and hollows will not exceed 0,8 mm.

Packing and designation:
The drawn welded tubes are supplied in band-blocked bundles of weight up to 2000 kg. Single bunches may optionally be packed in jute or foils. Each bundle is fitted with the producer's label containing the data as follows:
- size
- steel grade
- lengths
- heat number
- weight in kg, by agreement length in m and number of pieces
- customer
To protect the tube surface against atmospheric corrosion during the transport, the tubes are oiled with preservation agent.
